Expanding Our Reach, One Workshop at a Time

I hope you’re enjoying the sunshine and feeling energized for a summer full of connection and community.

Our Spring season has been outstanding—bursting with opportunities for growth, learning, and leadership. As we continue unpacking HOBY Canada’s 2025–2030 Strategic Plan, I’m excited to spotlight our next pillar: Program Expansion.

At HOBY, we believe that all students have the potential to lead—and that belief drives our goal to reach more youth in more communities across Canada. This year, we’ve taken an exciting step forward: the return of in-person Community Leadership Education Workshops (CLeWs)!

These 1-day events are an essential part of our strategy to grow our reach at the Grade 10 level. Thanks to the dedication of our alumni volunteers, we hosted impactful CLeWs in both the Middlesex and Grey-Bruce regions this spring. These workshops brought together ambassadors for meaningful conversations, hands-on service, and powerful moments of self-discovery.

This return marks just the beginning of what’s possible. As we build toward our long-term vision, we remain committed to expanding access, supporting volunteer-led programming, and bringing the HOBY experience to even more young leaders across the country.
