The Fall season brings colourful leaves, crisp breezes and an opportunity for contemplation. It provides us a moment to reflect upon the projects of the past year, and begin to explore possibilities for the future.
The HOBY Canada Strategic Plan was developed to guide our intentions as we pursue growth and opportunities from 2025-2030. A core pillar of this plan that intersects with all aspects of our organization and programs is Diversity, Inclusion & Societal Impact.

As an organization, we strive to keep this pillar at the centre of how we approach our programs and achieve our goals. This focus includes a position on the Board of Directors that intentionally ensures this lens is integrated into all of our processes and practices. We are currently recruiting and selecting a new Director of Diversity, Inclusion & Social Impact for the 2026 term to oversee the implementation and success of this pillar.
Additionally, we have committed to implement diversity training for all staff and volunteers that we continue to incorporate into our training and orientation for all staff and volunteers.

Finally, it is our desire to continually connect and engage with partner organizations focused on Indigenous, Black, and marginalized communities to remove barriers to participation in HOBY programs!
As we strive to focus on greater diversity, inclusion and societal impact in HOBY Canada programs, and increase our partnerships, we would love to hear from you! What organizations in your communities are breaking barriers?
Stay outstanding.
