Hey HOBY!

Our 2026 HOBY Western Ontario Seminar Chair is back for another year to lead the 2027 Seminar Committee to another OUTSTANDING 3-day Seminar! Arden first joined the HOBY Canada Board of Directors (BOD) in 2019 and reconnected with Western Ontario programs that same year as a Senior Group Leader at the 3-day Seminar! She has been crucial at the national and provincial levels since that time, through various roles on the HOBY Canada BOD and the Western Ontario Seminar Director Team! As the 2023-2024 President of the Board, Arden led the formation of our 2025-2030 Strategic Plan, which has resulted in great enthusiasm for the future of the organization!

“I’m excited to see how we continue to expand our reach and strengthen our alumni network. With our five-year strategic plan in place, we have a clear roadmap for growing HOBY Canada’s impact, and I’m eager to help bring those initiatives to life. I’m also looking forward to engaging new volunteers and finding creative ways to support ambassadors beyond the seminar weekend.”

Not only is Arden an active member of the HOBY Canada community, she is connected to various other organizations that are pursuing positive impacts around her.

“One non-profit I support is Youth Without Shelter, a Toronto-based organization dedicated to helping youth experiencing homelessness. Their work aligns with my passion for supporting young people by providing emergency housing, life skills programs, and educational support to help youth build brighter futures. Their focus on empowerment and long-term success makes a real impact in the community, and I admire their commitment to breaking the cycle of homelessness through education and mentorship.”

When reflecting on her dedication and the countless hours that Arden has poured into HOBY Canada, this is what she had to say:

“I volunteer because I believe in the power of youth leadership and the impact that mentorship can have on a young person’s confidence and future. HOBY has been a transformative experience for so many students, and I love being part of a community that inspires young leaders to take action in their schools and communities. Giving back through HOBY allows me to pay forward the mentorship and leadership opportunities I’ve been fortunate to have in my own life.”
